Dr. Kuwat Triyana

Professor of Applied Physics, Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada Indonesia

Dr. Kuwat Triyana is a specialist in Applied Physics at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, where he also serves as Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. He leads significant initiatives at the national level as President of the Materials Research Society – Indonesia (MRS-id) and as General Secretary of the Science Dean Association of Indonesia (MIPAnet). His research focuses on the development of chemical sensors, electronic noses, and electronic tongues integrated with machine learning models, with applications in healthcare diagnostics, food safety, veterinary medicine, and product authentication.

Dr. Kuwat Triyana has published extensively in leading journals such as IEEE Sensors Journal, Clinica Chimica Acta, and ACS Applied Nano Materials. His recent works include advancements in sensor systems for early disease detection, food quality monitoring, and smart materials development. He is a frequent keynote speaker at international conferences and an assessor for Indonesia’s National Accreditation Committee (KAN). He has collaborated across disciplines to bridge physics, material science, and artificial intelligence.
